High Visibility Signs Reinforced with Spotlights and SPEED DETECTION
High-visibility speed detection sign
Traditional road signs serve a preventive function, but their effectiveness is reduced when drivers do not visually perceive the warning
or are unaware of their speed. That's why AKRA SEÑAL has created HIGH-VISIBILITY SPEED DETECTION SIGNS
which emerge as a technological solution that integrates sensors, microcontrollers, and LED systems to capture drivers' attention and promote safer driving.
The objective of this project is to develop a sign capable of measuring vehicle speed in real time,
comparing it with the permitted speed limit, and issuing a visual warning when speeding is detected.
System Operation
The system operates in three main stages:
Detection:
The radar sensor measures the vehicle's speed using the Doppler effect and sends the information to the microcontroller.
Processing:
The microcontroller compares the measured speed with the preset speed limit (for example, 20 km/h in school zones).
Visual Warning:
If the speed is less than or equal to the speed limit, the signal remains off. If the speed exceeds the limit, four flashing yellow lights are activated.
